Nokia released flash file for 6270 RM-56 - completely new datapackage format

all setting files are digitally signed

bb5_simlock.bin files are included for every product code - if they are flashed at each update is unknown, yet

only flashable with phoenix at the moment - new firmware update user interface - not possible with any other box except PBB and GTI of course.

could it be, that fbus flashing is not needed due to the reason, that phone contains boot ROM? could it be that mcu.bin file contains some loader at beginning?

Just checked R&D mode, and there is " Dead phone USB flashing" option.
Also, either because i dont have phone connected, or there is no SX-4 card, phoenix refuses to load product codes if i try to sellect it.
I can bet its because of SX-4, seems good times coming for my "another business" .

Will make screenshots then.

Edit:
Set Pin button is active only if You not choose dead phone flashing. Also interesting.

I can attest to legija's statement is true,, i have PKD-1 and PKD-1RD..

if using PKD-1RD, firmware update does appear WITH DEAD PHONE FLASHING enable on Flashing menu

but if using PKD-1, DEAD PHONE FLASHING does not appear in firmware update in flashing Menu...

Thanks for info...Idol Legija...

Are we sure 6270 is BB5? It's not symbian, like all other BB5...

Ok... that's bad news...

Seems like Nokia have won the battle against unlockers. If they made it a year, theres no reason to believe any solution will come very soon. And i guess that most models released in 2006 will be BB5, if all new 3G-phones are BB5.
