Member: 290059 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 72 | Unloking BB5 6630,6680,6681,N70 and N90 for Dummies You must have a DKU-5 cable and already installed the driver from the disk of the DKU-5 cable or you could use com port from a box like Jaf Here we go: . Unzip the folder "bb5.zip" in c Drive "(c:\)" of you computer . Switch on your phone without sim card and connect DKU-5 cable . Connect DKU-5 cable to computer . Set proper COM cable number for the cable (it must be between 1 and 9. I used 2) to do that: Click on "start", right click on "my computer" then click on "Manage" (Computer Management window) click on "device" Manager (in the left hand side box) then double click on "Ports COM & LPT" you will see the phone cable details with a com number.double click on it and you will get Properties window click on "Port setting" then "advanced" and on the bottom of the Advanced settings window you see the com number just change it to com 2 for example or any number between 1 and 9.then press ok then Close all window. Take off the usb cable then connect it again to the same ubs port and check the number of Com port in device manager. it must be under 9. . Switch off your phone, remove usb cable, switch on and plug usb cable. . Open bb5_unlocker.cfg with notepad or wordpad and write here proper COM port (1-9) (I opened it wordpad progran. to do that right click on that file then click open with and choose wordpad) you only see "com2:" text for example, just change the number to same com number of your cable com in your device manager). 1. run `install.bat`(if you get com port error it means you don't have a good cable or com port number is more than 9) 2. Run c:/bb5 unlocker/BB5logunlocker.exe "BB5logunlocker.exe" 3. Click READ PHONE (should see the phone's details) 4. click WR BACKUP 5. Click MAKE LOG, log will be created (you should see: "Success phone log is created") 6. Click SP UNLOCK. 7. Now smile :-) (if you see Error: for this phone, "psw" file in "c:\bb5_unlocker\psw"is not found just press ok go back to "C:\bb5_unlocker" and click on image file "BB5_calc" (you should see "*******Done*****" then go back to BB5logunlocker.exe and click on SP unlock) (if you get "SP Data is corrupted" it means you phone's security data is damaged and you could only fix by flashing the phone with Rpl file ) Thank you Dejan Kaljevic for this software you are the master of Nokia and to Karwos for translation not forgeting Raskal and his forum from Salimben Please remember I'm a dummy too, I unlocked 2 x 6630 one by cable and the second by Jaf so if I made any mistake correct it please :-) . Peace salimben |

Member: 319008 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Plz plz forgive my dumb question, but are these models (6680, N70, etc) compatible with DKU-5, because they come with DKU-2 and there're no official information (from Nokia) that we can use DKU-5 with them. Thanks |
