Question Ericsson 1018s Sorry....

I know this is a well documented issue and I have read all strings, but call me stupid, I do not understand and not wanting to damage my phone can somone explain in plan english the answer to the following:

I want to unlock a Ericsson 1018s on 1-2-1;

How do I go about it?
What software do I need?
What EEPROM do I need or not need?

I know this is so newbieish, but I am a newbie to Ericsson's. I have, unlocked a couple of Nokia's in my time though, easy compared to these it seems.

Thanks in advance

I have read old post, and strings on other forums and do not understand, thus my posting with the sorry!

There are some people out there with a huge amount of knowldage and experince, who are will to share, this information and do so frequently, so I understand the reluctance to my question, but...

As a newbie to EEPROM's and flashing some general advice and information in plain english would be helpfull.

I'm not asking to have it handed to me on a plate, just somthing I understand!

I have an Ericsson Cable, Sarah's Workshop, ER2000, Emma's and a host of 1018s NCK/Unlockers, but not know what to do with them, without buggering my phone, isa what I'd really like to know!

Thanks David

OK, maybe I can explain it but my english is very bad ...

1. check the connector in this cable (from mobile), should have closed pins 8 and 7.
2. take er2000 and suitable files for your Txx
3. press FLASH and read carefull messages on the screen
4. you have unlocked phone

Thanks Slawek

That a lot more comprehensive and understandable than what I've read, but a couple of questions:

"1. check the connector in this cable (from mobile), should have closed pins 8 and 7." On the cable or the phone, and which end if the cable? The Cable to phone or Cable to PC?

2. What's a Txx?

3. "Suitable files"?

As you can see my whole understanding of mobile phone unlocking is very limited and I learned to do Nokia's by accident!

I apreciate your help on this issue.

Thanks

inside the connector what you plug to phone

>2. What's a Txx?

T10, T18, T28 and A1018

>3. "Suitable files"?

For T10 use files dedicated to T10 ...
