GF 768 Tampered!! Please help

Please help

Someone adviced me to use Saras 1.17 to unlock an Ericsson GF 768 99W10<br />Now it says TAMPERED …. Damn… that wasn’t a great advice, was it?

Can someone please tell me how I can clear this tampered mode? I didn’t make a backup before unlocking, and Saras (which also has a clear tampered mode on board, doesn’t work).

Hi,

Does anyone know where I can download USPU 4.8?<br />I now also have the same phone same version.. How can I read out the Eprom (and write it back?)<br />(what program should I use?)

You've been a great help, I know a lot more about flashing and repairing... I even managed to repair an T18s this morning thanks to your info...but this gf768 is an other story....

Indeed.... after some flashing and uploading Eprom the telephone got out of the "tampered" mode. I was very happy, but the phone didn't accept any simcard. So I used ERSERV to change the Imei into the original... Unfortunately then the phone was tampered again, so I again started to flash and upload the Eprom... but now the phone is dead, no matter what I do.<br />I don't understand, I've unlocked hundreds of phones succesfully but this one just won't do...<br />Is there any hope or should I throw the phone away?

<br />"Him" ??? :-)<br />Well, I must tell you guys, I've solved the problem almost now, funny enough the Phone revived again when I flashed with USPU 4.38<br />(Why didn't it revive when I used SARAS?!)<br />Now I only have to change the Imei back and the whole thing is back in business...<br />I promise you one thing: I'll NEVER unlock a 768 phone again :-)
