Member: 94307 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | T28S no access problem I have a T28S which has "no access problem". If I switch to another SIM card, it will lock into the network quite readily. A few minutes later, it's back to "no access". Ocassionally, the battery feels warm too. I took it to a repairer. AT first, he said it's the PA. So I told him to go ahead with the repair. After opening up the phone, he said it's not the PA, it's the CPU and he didn't fix it. Any thought on that ? BTW, can someone tell me how to open the T28s case properly without breaking anything ? I may try a reflow of the CPU myself since I've got nothing to lose now ! |

Member: 7751 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 74 | @imak It's very simple. Your technincian is filling you with bull**** !! He does not know what he's talking about. CPU does not cause "no access" in my exsperince (maybe 1%) How could he know that by just opening up the phone ? Did he do any measurements on the phone ? It's 80% sure your PA module ! Other 20% is RF and MMCC module, which also takes care of the signal, but mostly this module is the cause when you have dropping network when making call, or loosing calls ! So... 1 : Change PA (Be aware that those PA's are VERY sensitive to overheating, and they brake down just looking at them) 2 : RF Module 3 : 13 MHZ Crystal module and oscillator PLL curcuit 4 : MMCC Module (MMCC=Multi Mode Converter Curcuit) You beloved phone can be fixed, dont worry.... Regards PS. And please refrain from multiposting in several threads.. |
