I've just finished my 24cxx programmer (I2c bus interface at www.lancos.com using I'm external power from a 9V battery to a 7805 regulator). So I opened up my T10s located the chip 24C256, placed the clip over the chip and tried to upload the original EEPROM. But after a while ponyprog says "Device not responding!". But I'm 100% sure that my interface works, cause I've tested it with another EEPROM chip. The connector I'm using is "Pomona SOIC-clip model 5250". I bought it to make sure that I didn't have to desolder the chip. Cause the chip is a small surface mounted 8pin chip. However nothing works... Has anyone tried to reprogram the chip, using a SOIC-clip? Or do I have to desolder the chip from the phone to program it? Any suggestions greatly appreciated!
