Some Basic Questions - GSM-Forum

Hi all,
I have been trying to flash my t10 phone. There are loads of programs to do this but very little documation on how to use them . I have a few basic questions .

1) What is a .RAR file. None of the software seem to use them. they want .bin or .sbn files.

2) what is the differance between a .bin file and a .sbn file

3) how do you find the correct flash file for your phone, I have seen the code on the phone (eg 00w23 ) but no way to use that information to find the correct flash file.

4) If you need to convert an rar file to something else, what program do you use.

I am sure there is more I need to know but cant think of it now.

RAR is a compressed file-type, sometging like ZIP, but with more features and better compression...

Just use WinRAR from http://www.rarlab.com to unpack the file!
