can't install program in VISTA - GSM-Forum

as title ,i can't install program in VISTA Ultimate X86 system. program ask me to report to forum. i did search, all methods not works. can i have some official support please? or anyone can give the whole procedure for installation please? thanks inadvance

Do you get another error message before that?

Have you installed the HWK Support Suite and updated your HWK before trying to install HWK Suite?

update HWK , then install HWK Suite. problem soved!!

does that mean i need to update HWK every time if i want to install HWK Suite?

well.. new problem comes... after successful installation, i did run all HWK software 2 times. still can't enter the support area. webside keep asking me to "run HWK at least 1 time", i did run the HWK software with Administrator(Vista OS). any solution for this?

Good to know you have it sorted at last, you also should be much happier using Vista with UAC disabled

Part of the problem here is that we cannot update to the new InstallShield since this does not support legacy OS's like Win98 and WinME, we need to maintain support for these since they are listed as a supported OS by UFS+HWK, Vista is not a listed supported OS, but we try to offer support by means of workarounds, I will add a message to the next installer to advise users of Vista to disable UAC, or maybe an option "Vista detected, disable UAC" yes or no.

I am being a bit intrusive but please,please tell me how to disable this UAC.I do have Visa Laptop but I can't install the latest HWK SUITE 2.06 since the System always tells me there is a configuration error in my system.

Hello Mr Odia,
In trying to install the HWK Suite V2.05.07 on my Vista Laptop, the system tells me that,there is prefetching inside and does have a configuration error,and finally shuts down automatically.
Somewhere in this THREAD,you are suggesting that either we run as administrator or disable UAC.
I have run the Installation as Administrator,but still the problem exists,so now how do I disable this UAC?
I intend installing the latest HWK Suite V2.06.00 on my Vista Laptop,so please guide me.
Now another problem pertains to the Suite's inability to initiate LOCAL MODE in some Nokia 2310 telephones that I posted some days ago.I tried them on my Windows XP,HWK SUITE Version 2.06.00 but still the problem remains.Could you please help me out?

Put "Disable+UAC" into google and follow one of the many methods listed...

Control Panel > User Accounts ,you'll see "Turn User Account Control on or off" in this section...it's easy
