How to: Upgrade Alcatel OT-990 to Gingerbread

PACK1::::http://www.mediafire.com/?j2b0hpeppwj9g2c

PACK2:::http://www.mediafire.com/?sgvs542dddw4wsb

PACK3:::199.91.154.64/8306t6v6o76g/9m63smcsd36mabg/PACK3.rar

Steps
  1. Extract the PACK1.rar, and move the files: recovery-clockwork-4.0.1.5-ot990.img, RecoveryManager_v0.34b.apk and update.zip (don't unpack this file) to the root of SD Card.
  2. Turn off the phone... When it is off, get into fastboot mode (turning on the phone with the volume down button pressed, release the button a few seconds after it vibrates, don't let the android logo appear).
  3. Connect the phone to your computer via USB.
  4. Extract the PACK2.rar, and run install.bat and wait for the process finishes. If everything went well, the DOS window will close and the phone will restart. When it restarts, it will display the battery charging screen.
  5. Press a few seconds the power button and disconnect the USB cable, the phone will show the setup wizard... When you finish the setup, your phone will have a rooted 2.2 version (from Hungary).
  6. Allow non-market applications to be installed by checking 'Unknown sources' in Settings -> Applications, then go to file manager and install RecoveryManager_v0.34b.apk.
  7. Open Recovery Manager and go to the Recovery tab, then Install Recovery and wait some seconds... A window will pop up and you must select the file: recovery-clockwork-4.0.1.5-ot990.img, press OK, then select Reboot Into Recovery option.
  8. When the phone get into recovery mode, select the second option: apply sdcard:update.zip. Confirm the action when prompted. Wait until it finishes and then choose the option: reboot system now. You can move through the Recovery with the volume buttons, and select an option with the Home button.
  9. The reboot will be slow (4 minutes approx) and again will display the setup wizard, do it again and turn off the phone. (After you select the keyboard, it probably display an error to force close)
  10. Get into Fastboot mode and connect the phone to your computer via USB.
  11. Extract PACK3.rar, and run install.bat and wait for the process finishes. If everything went well, the DOS window will close and the phone will restart. When it restarts, it will display the battery charging screen.
  12. Press a few seconds the power button and disconnect the USB cable, the phone will show the setup wizard... When you finish the setup, your phone will have a virgin 2.3.4 (Gingerbread) version (from Hungary).

That's it, enjoy your Gingerbread phone

How to install ClockworkMod Recovery Alcatel OT-990

Steps

Via Recovery manager (option 1, rooted phones only):
  1. Dowload these files: RecoveryManager_v0.37b.apk and recovery-clockwork-4.0.1.5-ot990-anyboot.img.
  2. Put those files to the SD card.
    The recovery-clockwork-4.0.1.5-ot990-anyboot.img must not be inside any folder... It should be at the root of the SD card.
  3. With the file manager install the RecoveryManager_v0.37b.apk.
  4. Open it and go to the Recovery tab, then Install Recovery and wait some seconds...
  5. A window will pop up and you must select the file: recovery-clockwork-4.0.1.5-ot990-anyboot.img, press OK and that's it!

Now you have a Custom Recovery

Via Fastboot (option 2, non rooted phones):
  1. Dowload this file: recovery-clockwork-4.0.1.5-ot990-kernel-v53B-0-anyboot.zip.
  2. Unzip it anywhere on the pc.
  3. Disconnect the cable, power off the phone.
  4. Turn on the phone holding the volume down key.
  5. Connect the phone to the computer and release the volume down key.
  6. If you are using Windows, you can run the install.bat (included in the zip). For other systems you need to run the commands manually:
    fastboot erase recovery
    fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
    fastboot reboot
If all went well you have installed ClockworkMod recovery, if not try again.

How to get into recovery mode:
  • Via Recovery Manager (only rooted phones).
  • Turning ON the phone by holding the volume up button and when the phone vibrates, release the power button and press the Home button. Stop pressing the buttons when the screen becomes black illuminated, or after a few seconds after the android logo.
    WARNING: If you forget to press the Home button, or release it too early, a hardreset will be performed instead of entering the recovery, it will wipe all user data from the phone.
