Motorola M3888 shuts off when I release the power button but works If I keep it press - GSM-Forum

Hello,

After several years I managed to finally unlock my old Motorola M3888 by IMEI

since it's my first mobile I want to restore it to 100%. Currently it has some problems like ****n battery (already ordered an replacement) battery and now I'm using AA batteries just for testing... But the problems remaining are the charging plug is making bad contact and sometimes doesn't charge and now since my battery ****n the mobile only works if I keep pressed the power button, If I do this I can do everything with the phone since it works but if I release the button then it imediatly shuts off until I press again the button. Also if I make a little smack near the display It shuts off too. What can I do with my old mobile? is there a way to solve these problems?

Hello, any sugestion? :P also to open this phone I need an T6 screwdriver correct? Is there any service manual or schematics of this phone?

Now the phone sometimes works without the power button pressed, it starts and stays on... other times don't

what can I do? also I know this phone has an hidden clock and eng field options menu. How do I activate these things?
