Auto Record Patch

Hi guys,

I've a little problem with the "Auto Record Patch". I've applied the version from April the 7th. I've applied the "Java through Entrypoints" Patch. I put the content of Y.RAR into the Java\s directory and I marked function 14 in the app menu.
...and nothing hapens, no record nothing....
Did I made soemthing wrong? Thanks in advance ~cyperghost~

I still did not apply the newer version myself, so I can't say anything about the newer version. Did you already test, whether the java program runs properly? Go to Card Explorer, Folder java/s and start y.jad. The dictating machine should start then.
The patch doesn't work with incoming and outgoing call?
Try to activate function numbers 13, 14, 15, maybe there's a number error (not very probably)...

No the applet doesn't start!
Exception in Midlet.startApp()
java.lang.NumberFormatExeption: null

That's all. Okay then the patch works (I think) but the JavaMidlet fails.

Quote:
; You need the patch "allow java programs to read/write phone's memory and execute native code",
; apply following if not already done:
10CBA8: EE4401 0200EF
Is this the only line? I've also applied "Allow Java Midlets to access root folder" Maybe there's the fault. Thanks man

EDIT: I started the midlet after I removed the patch. Now I patched the phone once again (with the patch set in the quota) and the midlet doesn't start. I don't know a way out of this

10CBA8: EE4401 0200EF forces the phone to trash the whole JavaEngine. No Java midlet can't be started with that patch. Hope I'm not alone with that.
Can you attach your midlet in the next posting please?

Thats exactly the same problem I have.... If I start the midlet without this line, there´s an error: Exeption in MIDlet.startAPP()java.lang.NumberFormatExeption: null

I can't attach .zip or .rar files in this board, but try these links:
home.arcor.de/sagem-x-5/DictRec.jar
home.arcor.de/sagem-x-5/y.jad

Copy them as before to java/s folder and try from card explorer. If this doesn't work, I don't know why because it works on my phone.

Edit: sorry, Freud's fault..

it must be: home.arcor.de/sagem-x-5/DictRec.jar

Sorry rc-flitzer, but the error is still the same. If I apply the patch, Java hangs up... I dont know which other patch "bites" this one....

@trustkill: can you start the y.jad manually with card explorer? What happens then? Dictating Machine should start recording.

hm, I really don't know other solutions. On my phone it works, and I've applied the same patch... maybe you ask DeadManS, he developed most part of the patch.

nope, Java doesnt seem to work anymore. I will try it on a "clean" fubu and reapply some other patches too. Then I will know WICH OTHER patch disturbs this one...

hmmm...strange the same to me
I also reapplied a virgin Fubu

Edit: There's no difference between the both JavaMidlets. The same size the same version number

@rc-flitzer Maybe you can post your Fubu. Then we will use Freia or annother tool to make it work on our SLs

*flash light in my mind*

Guys, I'm so stupid, of course the patch can't work on your phones...
There's the patch collection of mamaich (set of patches v0.7), which I applied some weeks ago. The line 10CBA8: EE4401 0200EF is only the activator for the patch, but when there's no patch, only FFs, no wonder that the phone crashes...
You have to apply "Mamaich's set of patches beta 0.71" from December 11th, 2003, that you'll find here:
http://mamaich.f_u_c_k_r_u.net/sl45i/flash_edit.vkp
Delete "_" in "f_u_c_k_r_u" because this forum have some word protection.

Summary: you need mamaich's patch AND the activating line
10CBA8: EE4401 0200EF
If you want to activate some of the others of mamaich's patches, you have to know yourself.
