C28 locked/security code - GSM-Forum

Hello everybody

i have C28, wich says Phonelocked when inserting SIM.

I tried agg-siem.exe from andromedia, and it says:

phone type: C25 version 53.

the IMEI : .....8-0 (but the real imei ends with : ....8-2)

Locked to: ** unlocked **

I tried to unlock and reset Usercode, but did not help.

Phone says wrong code!

How to find out the softwareversion on siemens phones?

Is there a good program to unlock/reset usercode for old and new siemens?

For V53 you can use old soft form Bartek v1.92 - works 100%
for v61 - free Xmas soft from Max Rfon (only for v61)

c28 is always v61... koci's partial solution sometimes works but more often the phone is call barred. The best solution is through maxrfon x'mas free sw... "Search" button might sort things out where to get this sw...

@g-force: thanks for your reply.

I think the phone was not locked to any service provider.
It was locked on the actual simcard, usring security code.

This code was intered wrong many times, which made the phone locked permanently.

I used Bartek v1.92 to repair the phone and changed the security code. It work fine. But it cannot find network!

could anybody please help.
