And why you need to enter in Service Mode to read/write flash?

Use Unisiemens...

[...once more...]
do you use original Siemens Data Cable?

put 3..5V between two pins of the data cable connector (on mobile site)

Pin 1 (black) --> minus
Pin 4 (white) --> plus

Making sense

ok

do i replace the wires in the cable, or join the new wires to them?

is the supply of the voltage important (ac, nicads, alkaline, 3v, 5v)?

Cheers.

Run unisiemens, phone connected to COM1, press on...
If the 2 leds light up, re-insert batt, and press on again.

No, start with batt on phone.

Phone powerd off, start Unisiemens, press read, when says scanning press once or twice on Power on button.

Where it says scanning, there´s 2 light´s (Yellow / Red). The red one, usually it´s always on, the yellow only blinks when recieve something. So when you press power on, see the yellow light, if stayed on, remove batt and put it back again, and press again power on.

Sorted!

Thank you. Working now.

Seems I previously had a dodgy connection on my extra wires.

Thank you for your patience. Again
