Member: 24603 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | midlets for sl4x have permissions to manipulate files only in the 'storage' subdirectory of the midlet. so I don't think that's possible on a sl4x. It is possible on s55, but the midlet asks for user's permission. Although it's possible on s55 I haven't yet heard of such midlet. |

Member: 24603 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | aha, I now understand what you mean well I think it's possible, but haven't heard of such midlet too. I think it would be a very simple program, but sadly I can program only in C\C++, maybe if you ask somebody who can program in java... |

Member: 24603 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | well, it just came to my mind that i've heard of such a midlet, although this is not its purpose. It's MicroReader. With it you can open any type of file, create any type of file and use copy and paste. For example, you have a midi file which you want to copy, named midi.mid. You have to move midi.mid to the storage subfolder of MicroReader, then create a new file - for example midi1.mid. then open midi.mid, enter editing mode, choose copy from the menu, then open midi1.mid, enter editing mode and choose paste from the menu. it's a bit of headache, but it should work. Member: 24603 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | oh, well that's not a good solution, because the part of the file which you can edit is limited by memory. so, if you use this method you'll have to copy the file page by page |
