Help converting an S45 into an S45i - GSM-Forum

I´ve read about upgrading S45 to S45i, but I couldn´t find v03 or v04 with Portuguese lang and T9, so I didn´t do it.

Now I´ll try this, but I don´t know if it works, so I´m asking for some help.

Can i create an FUBU (from an working S45i v04 Pt lang and t9) file in Unisiemens, and then write it back into an normal S45?
And then just write map, to work perfectly?

Please any ideias are accepted...

Resume for upgrading S45 to S45i
from an working S45i v04 Pt lang and t9
with S/ME45 tools
- backup language pack address 0F0000 long 50000
- backup T9 address 080000 long 30000
in your S45:
1. backup of phonebook, addressbook and any info. Use S45expl. for example. This info are lost if you upgrading S45 to S45i.
2. full backup with S/ME45 tools , (for safe only, to restore )
3. winswup S45i 040101
4. patch flash address 290000 long 50000 with the patch for version S45
this http://www.o45m.ru/program/290000x050000_s.zip
5.-Unlock with S/ME45 tools 5. (In s/me45Tools go to IMEI and press UNLOCK)
6.- Flash language pack address 0F0000 long 50000 from S45I Pt lang
7.- Flash T9 address 080000 long 30000 from S45I t9 Pt lang

The End.... You have a new S45i

If you make the backup of lang Pt, can you send me this?

S45 and S45i have difference Menu why do they can use langpack from each other ? I had experience in changing langpack C45v35 with C45v33 which seem closer very much, but it's still has a bug and donot work 100%. For changing T9 pack I don't suspect any more.

I agree with you Ken.
Your speeches of two different versions.
But in this alone case it is a question of replacing the pack of language that loads the version of the winswup S45i 040101, for that you have created of one s45I originally with the same version 04 but different language 040510.

Sorry, I had read some previous threads that suggest to take S45 langpack to S45i and did not read this topic carefully.
But I have a little problem where we can take fullflash of S45i that contain needed langpack for our S45i(upgrade) ?
It's very serious problem in my country now.

I think that flash is has only Thai input but not has Thai menu. I upgrade my me45 with S45i v04 lg1, it has only Thai input.
