My ME45 drives me crazy

OK, normally I've nothing to do with those Siemens cans, so I guess I'm a complete stupid in those things ... but up to now I've always been thinking I can read and understand, but my ME45 which I have to use at work drives me nuts !!

My ME45 was V28 out of the box, I updated it with WinSwup to V30 - everything was fine except the phone was switching off when the battery was 50% full ... no problem, you could just switch it on again and it worked down to 0% as usual.

Now I wanted to upgrade it to S45i by using the step-by-step guide from www.gsm-free.com (looked like fool-proof). First I wanted to flash my V28-backup back to ensure everything is as it was originally. My backup is 4 megs (200000..600000 I guess, can't remember exactly) but !! Me idiot started flashing from 000000 ... so I guess I've damaged the 1st EEPROM aera which I learned later is at 1F0000.

This was leaving my ME45 completely dead. I spent two days trying every solution I could find here and on two other major boards including but not only these ones:
  • All3/4 + 140101.flx + log + map -> phone ok but display blank, after update to V28 with Winswup -> phone dead (only "farting" at power-on).
  • Downloaded a full backup and flashed it from 000000..600000 + log + map -> phone dead (only "farting" at power-on).
  • Flashing a S45i_V04 flash already prepared for ME45 from some Russian site (www.om45.ru or similar) + log + map -> phone still dead (only "farting" at power-on).
PLEASE: Who can tell me what I'm doing wrong ? At least when I flash a FULL backup from the same series everything should be ok ?? A full backup should include EEPROM areas, too - or am I wrong ??? Maybe I see things too much through Nokia-style eyes

ANY hints are very welcome.

OK, I must admit that I can't read and understand ...

http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/show...wrong+software gives the answer.

Problem solved.
