Post Newest version for C35i?

Hi!

I thought version 18 was the newest software-version for C35i? But I've heard something about a version 20? Is this right? If yes, where do I find it (danish), and can it be unlocked?

regards,<br />Lasse

The latest firmware for x35 phones is 2001, and contains the following languages:

-English German French Italian Dutch Swedish Finnish Norwegian Danish

This version still canīt be unlocked and you must think twice until upgrade to that fw because after this, like hapened in fw18, you canīt downgrade in normal way.

Regards Landy.

Hmm, it's called 2001? And the older versions is called 18,16 and so on?

Is 2001 what's displayed when typing *#06# (and pressing left button)?.

Can this be unlocked? Can I upgrade my M35 (version 16) to the new version (danish) and unlock it. Will it work 100%

Where do I find software/files to do this?

I would like a copy of version 20(01). Can anybody send me a copy or tell me where i can download it? Also, i heard on this board that there is a version 22, but in a phone with different hardware (ti instead of infineon controller). Does anybody know anything more about that? Has anybody seen such a phone?<br />Thanks in advance,

Neil

But if v20 isn't unlockable, what's the idea of upgrading to it?!

If you got a REAL unlocked phone, you should be able to upgrade with version 20 without it having to patch it afterwards, thus i'm interested in having a copy.

Are you sure?

How come there's a difference between a 'real' unlocked phone and a 'hacked'?

If someone has a X35i v20 and pays to get it unlocked, wouldn't we be able to get that flash and use it to unlock others?

The difference is that the current trick is not to remove the phone-code, but to patch the phone so it doesn't ask for it anymore. That's why, after updating the software in your phone, it asks for your code again. As for using a real unlocked eeprom in another phone, i guess it can work, but you still get the problem with the imei (But i've got some time left at the moment, and am currently looking how to hack that.)
