Questions about sl45

Hello Everyone!

Can somebody answer my questions below?

1. Has somebody tried to synchronize sl45 with computer with IrDa?
Does it need a program or hardware? Is that possible anyway?

2. In a java application: "read maniac": wich is the string that makes an "enter" or a "line feed" in the wiew of a txt file?

3. My recorded vmo playback sound is often goes ununderstandable: it plays back scrach sounds and volume goes down for 5 (rarely for 30) seconds.
Somebody knows how to fix that? Is that possible?
Does my speaker died?
Will it be better if I trie with a good quality microphone?
But how can I join in the plug into sl45's plug?
I can't buy a translator!

I'll write more questions when they are actual.

1. It's possible to connect SL4x via IrDA. But I think, the Data Exchange Software (DES) only runs via data cable. Maybe a newer version, look at www.siemens-mobile.com for this. You can run AT-commands via irDA, that's no problem.

2. What exactly is your problem? The string to make an "enter" (new line) is the "new line"-string or -char, that you can produce with Windows notepad by editing the file and pressing your enter key...
Secondly, you can't edit your files in Read Maniac. Please try "Micro Reader V1.0", it's free, faster for reading files AND you can edit them in phone comfortably, even set a new line in the text.

3. Don't know, but the quality is bad, in every case. I use a filter program (Cool Edit 2000) to filter the noise and scramble. Did you listen to your vmo files on PC? Try "vmo2wav", it sets the loudness to the maximum level.

To rc-flitzer: When I open a txt file in Read Maniac it doesn't show line feeds just spaces.
So I ask which character I should put in my text in PC to have a line feed in the Read Maniac?

To IrDa question:
D.E.S. v267 really can see mobile during IrDa connection:
U can make directories, renaming, but U can ONLY COPY FILES that are under 5 KBYTE!
That's very poor.
But U can copy files to mobile with the internal (in the computer) IrDa managing software. (It will make a tmp file and you rename it to the original name, then it will work).

You are using windows Irda data copying.
You are not using siemens data exchange. You must instal irda and in SiemDataExch klik on Irda. When I was instaling the SDE it asked me and tested it. So I tested if my Irda software is working.

I've installed Data Exchange Software 2.6.7.
It asks to use it with irda instead of com-port.
I selected irda.
What have I missed?
