s40-no tones -urgent need help - GSM-Forum

hi ..

got an s40 with no tones in the menu-
full flashed the phone from 00-40---
reseteed the phone memory
calculted the map and uploaded to the phone--

but still no tones in the menu-- i hope i need to upload a good eprom in my handset-- but who has the eprom uploader + a good eprom ....!!

desperately need help!!

It not wrong in EEPROM. It has just earase all data in Second flash so you must create it by edit melodies or copy ring tone from anothe fone.
By soft ware come from with your fone. Or you can buy this soft from service center.
I not have, I'll find it for you if I have I'll send to you.

PS : don't try to write EEPROM it can't change any thing but your fone will say fone faile

i reset my S40 and reflashed with 9.0.0 - Ringtones at right Place
and all worked ok

what kind of cables i must use with XTND Siemens SW ?

i mean is c-bus cable like an old Bosh phones , more simple to use infrared connection

there is nothing rong with the cable man!!!!!

i am still hanging for the solution--

already full flashed from 0--40
or even from 0---38f000
uploaded the right map==

checked with 3.3.0/9.0.0/8.0.0

still nothing
