Member: 133912 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | S56 unlock help I've got a S56 from AT&T Wireless that I want to use a Cingular SIM in. 1) I've got an unlock cable (serial) that I ordered from a vendor on EBay (hoping its reliable) 2) I'll be using Freia v15, using the S55 as the phone option in Freia. 3) I'll choose Bootcore bug as my bootoption in Freia 4) I'll keep RTS and DTR checked on my COM port options 5) I'll set my COM port accordingly for the Serial port that the cable plugs into 6) I'll backup my battery parameters 7) I'll create a log from the phone 8) I'll create a map from the log that I create 9) I'll do a direct unlock with no map saved Is that all that I need to do? Am I missing any steps? Should I also read the firmware flash from the phone? Should I read the EEPROM from the phone? What about the Bootcore? I guess I just want somebody to tell me if I'm missing any steps, or if my steps are in the right order. All help will be sincerely appreciated! |

Member: 133912 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Awesome - thank you for the help! One other question. My S56 has SW-version 06, with variant A 170. Have there been any reports of problems using Freia under those conditions? I'm just hoping that I don't have such an old version that Freia won't know how to work with it. |
