SX1 mastercode phone lock code! - GSM-Forum

i was researching after i locked my phone like everyone else it seems.. After a long time.. found a spanish site through a english forum, which had a verifed way of unclocking without needing test points..or payin 29 euros to siemens!.. Apparantly you need to download fbus2-maestro025.. which resets security code on symbian phones (initially made for the nokia series).. n this should be done to the SX1 using the data cable.. when the phone is switched off.. on the other forum it showed 100% success.. i don't have the data cable :|.. therfore should buy it soon.. can people tell me how they do with it? ..and tell me what data cable they got with the phone(as i didnt get one)? thanks

May be some one have in factory or high level can caculate code.

So that them can Unlock code not to do test point.

I have the small advice if you like and agree
please try to format the phone with
push in the same time the * and # and the switching off, on button
wait till the format is done and ok ok ok

yeah i've tried that.. doesn't stop the "phone is blocked. please enter phone code" message. Has anyone tried the method i posted earlier?

you need only Fbus maestro under win 98 with phone powered ON ,than do RESET SECURITY CODE !

buying serial cable on weekend.. read in reviews.. this should work (remember right click on fbus program.. click on compatibilty tab, and run as windows 98)

@sm4rtboy.. have u tried this method?

Thread resurrection!

I've done the same to my SX1 (forgot that it, unlike the other Siemens, has a phone code with only 5 digits... duh!), and tried Fbus Maestro to reset the code. I even fetched a mothballed Win98 machine I have to make sure it is compatible.

I used a DCA-500, ran the program, clicked "Reset Security Code", it almost instantaneously said "Reset Security code to 12345, wait...", then "All Done", then "Only Tested on a 6310 by me !!". But the lock is still there...

I tried having the phone both on and off when clicking the button, and the result was the same. Could it be because my cable is an original DCA-500 and not one of those flash-capable? I also tried using a DCA-510, which I successfully used to reflash an S75, but the result was the same.

Could this be because Fbus Maestro only works with older FW versions? I have FW15 installed on mine.

[edit] I forgot to add... when I click "Reset Security Code", the program has the exact same reaction whether the phone is connected or not. Also, clicking "Read" shows "Im working. wait..." at the bottom and doesn't go anywhere from there, also with phone connected or not.
