SL45i Whith polyphonic ring tones!!

without changing the firmware of the phone it almost not possible! Can you change frimware (write new patch or something else) for support new hardware (yamaha sound processor for poliphonic, and display module for color screen) ?

Me personaly I can't do any of those, for the electronic part U will have to tell me where I can get those parts from(what phones) and about the pathching part U wowld have to fill in... just make a tutorial somewhere
and let people know that it is possible to do this things

sorry, but, i think, that is is possible (in general), but i can't make a complete solution because it is very, very complex task!

well U said something about yamaha sound chip and something for the display... how did U figure this out? and isn't anybody out there who knows something about this? c'mon let's revive this legendary phone. Think how much money U will make from anybody who will want to make their sl45 color and poliphonic(just for the soldring and stuff, not for the tehnical specs to do that) plus U will make everybody gealous at your brand new tuned sl45

I think it's possible too and that the great SL45 allredy have that capabilities. I mean that "THEY" don't make the compleetly new phones. There are things that they found out years ago and who knows when will that inovations be unnounced or used. So, who know's what our SL45 hide's in itself. I would be very proud to have my two SL's with color dispaly and GPRS.

Wouldn't U like it to be poliphonic too?

and another question.... why can't we make the ringer an mp3 or a vmo file only whith louder volume, it shouldn't matter that the sl has a mono apmlifier(I mean isn't it ljust like a pc, when we listen to a mono mp3 file we still hear the vioce and other things?)

That's a question of the speaker. SL45 uses only a "buzzer"

Realize it: It is NOT possible for us to play polyphonic tones /and or modify the SL45 with color display. Yes, manufactures can do this. But its like building a whole new phone.

I think that it is possible, becouse, when U listen the MP3 trough stereo headphones and somebody calls U the ring sounds cool. So, we can use the electronic from the headphones and install it in the phone. We wont have stereo any more but have mp3. I will try that.

Hey rizza couldn't U do a patch so that when the phone rings the mp3 sings instead of the normal ringer? or not just mp3 maybe wmo instead only whith a louder volume ???
