Yes, this fix the problem of fading but at the same time it also erases all simlock data and loses signal of the phone....so you will need Special equipment now in restoring this data to the phone...

You can also try this, but definitely will lose signal (simlock data..etc is intact)

1. Flash your 3650 with a 7650 flash file. it will somehow affect the PMM area thereby removing fading (and signal ofcourse).

2. Now, when error occurs during flashing, just repeat the procedure but this time use a 3650 flashfile.

Check manual mode when using griffin....if you have an original nokia equipment, then your lucky...just repair the PMM area to regain the signal back.....

i think right now no one wants to give solution to that kind of problem...

but try to read this....maybe this could help.

Nokia Mobile Phones Service Bulletin No. SB-012/24.06.03
Technical Services, Europe & Africa

NHL-8

CORRUPTED PERMANENT MEMORY MANAGER (PMM)

Recognizing the PMM corruption symptom:

With a battery inserted, try to switch the phone on. The
display backlight will come on for the usual time (around
3 seconds) and the NOKIA logo will be seen for a very
short time (much less than 1 second) before the display
fades or switches off. This repeats a few times and the
phone shuts-off completely.

The phone will also not boot in Local mode (connected to
a flash adapter) with similar symptom – NOKIA logo shown
for less than 1 second.

This problem is caused by a corruption to the Permanent
Memory, which prevents the phone from booting. Since
the phone will not boot, it is not possible to backup any
settings from the phone.

If the above-mentioned symptoms are detected in level
1 & 2 service points, the phone should be sent for repair
to higher level service partner.

IMPORTANT: If the NOKIA logo remains on the screen for
longer than 1 second, the phone does not suffer from
this problem. See section ‘other software based issues’.

Steps to repair PMM corruption:

Note: User Data will not be affected, but other tuning
and alignment data will be lost – including PPCs.

1.Re-flash the phone with the latest available NHL-8
software.
2.Flash the single flash file CCSErasePMM.fia (available
on PWS) to the phone by selecting it in the MCU section
of the Flash window in Phoenix.
3.The IMEI/SIM lock must then be rebuilt and the phone
re-aligned and re-calibrated.

Other software based issues:

When the phone is switched on with a battery inserted,
a check is executed on the program code. When the
NOKIA logo is displayed, this check has passed. (I.e. if
the check fails, the logo is not displayed.) Therefore, if
the NOKIA logo is seen, even for the briefest time, the
problem is not with the program code, and re-flashing
may not help.

A common cause of failures to boot is bad applications
installed by the end user. If the phone boots and is
stable in Local mode (on a flash adapter or docking
station), but does not with a battery inserted, the
problem is probably with the User Data Area. In these
cases, try formatting the user data area. Remember –
User data will be lost!

Best regards,
