Bad on/off button 7650 - GSM-Forum

I have a Nokia 7650 with a bad on/off button.
I can't get the phone switched on with the regular button.
When I putt the phone on it's charger the phone just switches on and there is no problem further.

I think the button within the phone (not the red one outsite the phone) is worn after regular usage.

All the contacts on the print as well as on the button look allright.
When I got the phone for the my client, it was allready very difficult to turn it on with the button.

My only solution is to replace the button for a new one, but is this the right solution or can there be another problem?

Who can help me with maybe another solution or give advise?

I have changed many power on/off buttons of this phone. It's easyly to change. This is the right solution.
