Member: 63296 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Sync-ing my Nokia 6600 with Outlook 2000 I have tried installing the following applications (after de-installing McAfee first, and after installing the sync-applications, re-installing McAfee again): * Float's Mobile Agent didn't work because it is not designed for the Nokia 6600 UNFORTUNATELY * Oxygen Phone Manager II (version 2.0 build 4.1) I couldn't get it to connect to my phone. No real error message appears. The computer isn't able to detect my phone. My phone is able to detect my computer, but UNable to connect to it * Nokia's Phone Manager for 6600 Now THIS application really pissed me off (excusez le mot!)!! It is the only program that works... SOMETIMES... it screws up the synchronising tasks I define, and most annoyingly of all, it FREEZES on 4 out of 5 syncs!! I really really really would like to use OTHER software than this piece of s...!! I hate the arrogance of Nokia pretending to deliver good software while it actually s....!! Could ANYONE help me please?!? I'm starting to get desperate! I bought my phone a couple of months ago, it took me a LONG time to get the bluetooth crap working and the syncing was my second objective... I haven't even had the time to install additional software on the phone because I don't want to get even MORE frustrated!! Thanks a lot in advance!! WW |

Member: 63296 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | I only have a firewall on my router, not on my PC itself... so I guess that wouldn't make a difference (right?)... I just moved to Amsterdam, so not everything is unpacked and set up yet... PLUS I started on my new job... working on a laptop ALL DAY so you can imagine I don't have an urge to sit behind my PC at night as well... |
