No, I really dont think you can get a tv cuz TV,s have different equipment to recieve data and i dont think you have a tv signal reciever in N-gage to recieve data,
Software for such is impossible to run such applications without hardware.

Hope u get my point

Just 4 fun try this:

Have VDO TV tuner card on your PC. Now get the Helix (real VDO streamer) from real.com. Connect your n-gage with bluetooth (passthru GPRS) to
your PC. Run the real player on n-gage and point it to your PC's IP address.
Let us know if it works!!!

Actually it might work. May be I will try it for fun.

The point is that real player on n-gage is capable of playing files
and streams encoded with the parameters mentioned in
http://www.ngagegaming.com/news/news...ures/prof/feat

You will need two pieces of software from real
1. Helix producer (to generate the stream)
2. Real (Helix?) publisher (to give the stream a web interface)

The above two are commercial SW. May be real will let
you download a trial version.

Not sure if n-gage has any software that can play Windows
Media VDO. That will be far more easier to stream (using Windows
Media Encoder)

The reason I mentioned bluetooth for IP connectivity (passthru)
is GPRS is still very expensive to watch video!

The point of having a tv on the N-gage my friend is for it to be portable...If u have a Tv tuner hardware in ur pc then why dont u watch it on your pc.

And then again whats the point in going through that process when u can just switch on your tv or pc and watch what you like ( in a much bigger size )

lol...no point in going through this hard work

Think of this...if we know it works and sometime in future when 3G/GPRS is not that expensive....same setup can be used to watch TV/movies remotely or you could use it for home surveillance/baby monitor.

And even if it does not make sense...well, everything in life does not have to make sense...for eaxmple me writing this mail is not making sense

I agree....firstly the black and white mobiles were an "aww"
Then came along polyphonic and then ppl were in aww again
Then came mobiles with color display ppl were more in aww
Then came the series 60 abilities to watch pics in good resolution, videos , songs...
Now its the time of s60 and 3G........

We should just learn to be happy with what we have for now, for tomorrow brings new surprises ( new tech )......

Yeah !
Maybe u could have an intergrated shaver or even a ***** , better not say....
But for now 3G will make things real easy for life by homes controlled by mobile phones.

I'd be waiting for the ear phone ... a mobile tht fits in ur ear undetectable... make it easier to cheat in universities or even a mobile planted in you controlled by your brain,,..imagine storing answers in ur head.......crazy but not impossible
