I was wondering why no one has mentioned that the 'full download' box needs to be checked in any of the instructions.
Is it that its not essentially required or is it merely an oversight?
I'll probably be flashing my phone tomorrow when it arrives and I just like to get as much detail on the process as possible.
Thanks for the responses, by the way

it does not have to be, whatsmore it shouldn't, and don't flash with boot, it's completely unnecesary to touch it and may cause you only problems

to flash any qualcom phone it's neccesary to use 4 files with full flash/firmware change.

1. modem - modem code and information
2. rc1 -data
3. rc2 - intro picture*
3. ffs - file system with somoe more setings an data

*rc2 can be changed at any time it's the only first picture that shows after powering on the phone and you can exchange it betweed diff firmwares - this means you can flash the telefone only with it to change itas many times as you like, the diff beetween low and mid is in presetting phone debug level

regards

I'd be happy to be able to change the bloody screensaver - not too much to ask!

Finally got my phone unlocked

Anyway i flashed my phone with F480JPHG3 (i needed Arabic just for the text messages but i have the phone set to English) everything seems ok

The only thing that does not work is the game Bejeweled it worked before it loads up ok but when you press normal to start the game the screen loads the game window and then just freezes... Anyone have any idea's why ?

Ive deleted the game, tried to upload it again with TkFileExplorer_2.2 done all the steps internals, then update Java etc ive also downloaded it from the internet again and tried but with no luck, all other games ive uploaded using TkFileExplorer_2.2 work fine like Bejeweled worked before, by flashing as java been updated or degraded or something ?

Hi,

I've read the ENTIRE thread, and I'm awaiting the arrival of my Tocco from eBay, could someone just confirm/answer these few queries I have:

1. The phone I'm getting is branded to o2 but I don't think it is locked. If I need it unlocking, I'll take it to the market/a shop and get it unlocked before I flash. Is there ANYTHING special I need to do before flashing straight to F480XX?

2. Any reason why I would use use 5.33 instead of the newer 5.40? I have both, not sure which one to use though.

3. When I put the phone into 'download' mode, do I plug the USB cable in after I've got it into download mode? or Should the cable already be in when I press the key combination?

Thanks

if you have it form operator/carrier it usu is locked
nothing special before flashing apart from fully charged battery
