Samsung l770 unlocking - GSM-Forum

Hi I'm new to this website. I've just tried to get my spare phone unlocked at a shop who has done many of my phones before. He said come back in three hours. Thought great ok. Goes back for him to say oh can't do that not done one before. What the F***.

Read on the internet that you can do it but getting confused. I dont have the original USB cable for phone so will need to purchase one. But then the internt says needs a modded E210 cable that goes to RJ45. Then what software do i use. Also read you need to flash phone first.

Can anyone start me off with what cable is needed, easiest free software and whats this firmware thing all about?

P.S. Also the phone was originally on three network so i'm guessing its qualcomm??

with this soft you can unlock your phone free (for L770 ), and use original USB cable for phone

Hi cheers for reply and supplying files. Got a problem tho can you help. I've installed the usb drivers, got an original cable master reset phone because no sim card is in it and software when loaded has start msl 00000 and IMEI 12 etc etc. I click on unlock but it says no phone found. What am I doing wrong? I'm usually pretty good at this sort of thing but can't fingure it out.

which drivers did you install?
Check your device manager if phone is correctly found and make sure phone is in PC studio mode and bluetooth is OFF

I installed the samsung modem drivers that came with archives above. Downloaded PCstudio from samsung website. Do I have to have a sim card in the phone (if so the original one for the phone or the one I want it unlocking for?) How do I get the phone into PC studio mode? Do i have to type that code to select common, usb device then qualcomm or leave it in on samsung usb?

put the original sim in phone, then plug cable, it should ask u pc studio mode click on it. if it doesnt ask pc studio mode, change the cable becuase some cables only charge phone only.
