Samsung SGH-A737 bootfile or firmware fix request - GSM-Forum

The boot data base on my phone needs fixing. I see a Boot file for the A736 phone. I would need the A737 boot file. Would the file already be located on this forum and where. Also how to install. This is a firmware fix. I believe. Really, I am just re-applying the phones database files to boot the phone all the way through to the main screen. Everything else should function properly.

My phone communicates with my computer. The only function I have is to go through the download screen on the phone. Which is [ * + power on ]. The phone just cycles through the intro start routine now on normal mode. So I would like to get this repaired.

I do not have any flash programs. So any help and directions in this would be thankfull.

I do appreciate the help. I will write up my details if I am able to get my phone repaired this way. I am shure others would be interested in this knowledge.

I am using the qualcomm usb driver function on the phone.

Samsung SGH-A737

Software: SW Version "A737.003"
Firmware: SW Version "A737UCHD2"

Post number three.

Will I install the older version "A737UCGI2" firmware on my phone. Everything works well. However, I am shure there are differences. I am unable to use my old method of add games with this firmware as it imediately goes to download to pc screen after reboot because of an IO error with the usb. So I am hoping the "A737UCHD2" firmware shows up. As this is a superior product firmware. Or at least it worked with my old method of adding games.

My old method may work, but I am not going to find out.

I went with the wap method where charges may occur. One game did break the phone. At least this time when I turned it off then on. The phone worked without having to redo the firmware.

I am still looking for the newer version of the firmware if it is out here. That would make the phone original again.

It does appear that my antenna reception is better with this older firmware. There are more bars and stronger signals showing on the phone.
