The Samsung Galaxy S2 powered with Dual Core application processor, coming with 4.3 inch Super AMOLED Plus display, slim design (8.49mm), reader hub, Wi-Fi Direct, Samsung Kies 2.0 & Kies air, full HD recording & playback and more.

Here the article will guide you how to connect your Galaxy S2 to a computer (Windows or Mac) with a data cable in USB connection modes. By connecting the Android smartphone to your Windows or Mac machine, you are able to transfer films, videos, music or other data to and from your Samsung Galaxy S2 directly and use the Samsung Kies program.

Tip: If you want to put those videos (like VOB, TiVo, MXF, AVI, MKV, etc) unsupported by the Samsung Galaxy S2, just convert the video to Galaxy S2 H.264 MP4 via a comprehensive Galaxy S2 Video Converter (for Mac). Meanwhile, you can also use a powerful Blu-ray/DVD to Galaxy S2 Converter (for Mac) to help you rip any Blu-ray or DVD to H.264 MP4 for watching on Galaxy S2.

Solution I: Connect with Samsung Kies
Solution II: Connect as a mass storage device

Solution I: Connect with Samsung Kies for transferring movies, videos or music.
To start, you should ensure that the Samsung Kies is installed on your computer. If not, you can download the program here:
Download Kies for Windows | Download Kies for Mac

Or, you can directly download the program from the Samsung website (www.samsung.com)

Step 1: Connect the multifunction jack on your Galaxy S2 to your Windows/Mac by using a data cable.

Hint: The Samsung Kies will launch automatically. If the program doesn't automatically launch, just double-click the Kies icon on your Windows or Mac.

Step 2: Copy films, videos or music from the computer to your Galaxy S2.

Solution II: Connect as a mass storage device to transfer movies, videos or music
You could connect your Galaxy S2 to your computer as a removable disk and access the file directory. And if you insert a memory card in the device, you can quickly access the file directory of the memory card by using your Galaxy S2 as a memory card reader.

(Notice: After connecting the Samsung Galaxy S2 to your computer, the file directory of the memory card will appear as a removable disk, separate from the internal memory.)

Step 1: In ldle mode, open the application list and select Settings < Wireless and network < USB utilities < Connect storage to PC.
Step 2: Select OK to confirm if necessary.
Step 3: Connect the multifunction jack on your Galaxy S2 to your computer by using a data cable.
Step 4: Select Connect USB storage when connected.
Step 5: Select OK to confirm if necessary.
Step 6: Open the folder to view the content. Then copy film, video or music files from the computer to the memory card.
Step 7: Select Disconnect storage from PC when the media files are transferred onto the memory card of your Galaxy S2.

After getting movies, video or music files onto your Galaxy S2 (no matter which solution you choose here), you could easily enjoy them wherever you go.

That's all! Hope the guide on how to transfer video files from computer to Galaxy S2 helps!
