cheapest solution is to buy new hdd or used without pass

But maybe exist soft to format ( low level ) the locked one HDD , so can be used again ....

NO, locked disk accept only security commands, others like lowlevel are not accepted...

so theres way via firmware patching > need expensive tools and infos..
also can give your disk to specialized company > they take around 500usd..
or some manufacturers can calculate masterpass from serial (like IBM,..), need good contact in service center..

BEST solution is to buy new hdd..
