Through the ages it grew in power and strength. It eventually became aware of itself and gave itself the name Nelson. As *** of this land, Nelson walked the rough landscape creating various creatures in the ocean and on land, rebuilding this world from the lifeless rock it was into a lush and verdant place that would support a myriad of creatures. The next 10,000 years passed by quickly for Nelson, as he admired his work and the things he had created. Another 4,500 years passed and Nelson watched as some of the creatures began living together - hunting, gathering and forming distinct communities. Eventually, 9 races distinguished themselves, the Humans, Elves, Fairies, Hellspawn, Deathlings, Cavemen, Orcs, Ogres, Elemental’s and various other smaller groups of neutral creatures. The first race to create structures for living and working were the Elves, and they created what became a wonder of the world, Moonlight City. Elf Queen Felia Auman presided over the founding of this architectural beauty, deep within the virgin forests the Elves loved. Under her care and leadership, the Elves prospered and quickly became the richest and most powerful race in the land. As their borders spread in all directions and more and more resources fell under their control, the other races chafed at their dominance. The Humans, being the most cunning of the races, watched and learned from the Elves. They adopted many of the same systems of governance and even crowned their own King. Along with their cunning, the Humans had one other trait – greed. The King of the Humans gave land to his generals and ministers, and in return they had the people living on their land work hard to extract resources from it to hand over to the King. They also promised men for the army in case of attack. It was the beginning of feudalism, and it made the human system distinct from the system the Elves had established. Using their superior intellect, the Humans set upon researching all the most devious and destructive weapons of war. Stoking their forges, they produced some of the finest armor and weapons that could be found anywhere in the world. In the country the peasants raised warhorses and tamed the deadly Griffins. With their fledgling kingdom starting to expand, they found that the resources they depended on for survival and prosperity lay in the hands of others, who were not inclined to give them up without a fight. Lumber became an especially scarce resource and the humans saw opportunity in the ancient Kaya Forest, the home of the Elves. 500 pioneers were sent to start work on clearing parts of the forest, but they disappeared without a trace. Although the peasants talked of spirits in the forest, the King knew better, and prepared for war with the Elves. Nelson was a thoughtful deity, constantly observing the creatures and the land he had created - he was fascinated by them. However, the longer he watched, the more disappointed with his world he became. He saw evil creatures rise and challenge the peaceful creatures. He saw misery and death becoming more and more frequent. He soon lost himself in a deep meditation on the nature of good and evil, and drove himself insane. After all he reasoned, if these creatures were evil, and they had been created by him, that would mean that he was evil as well. Believing he had reached a satisfactory conclusion, he devoted himself to the evil creatures of the land. He promised them unlimited strength and wealth, they only had to swear allegiance to him. Eventually he had a vast army under his banner, larger than anything the world had ever seen. The army would sweep across the land like a dark swarm of locusts, devouring resources and anything else that lay in its path. He then built a grand palace for himself at the base of the largest volcano and called it Demon Palace, and then he crowned himself the Demon King. To a ***, time passes quickly, and Nelson ruled his dark world for nearly 2,000 years. The creatures of the land called out for help, and from the dark mists of the void, three voices answered. Three new Gods, Ariez, Messina, and Fiona, came to save the oppressed people of this world. They stood for strength, justice, and wisdom, and represented all the best traits that had come from the Demon King’s grand experiment. They fought fierce battles, but the three new Gods eventually conceded that the Demon King was too powerful, and they fell back to Sordor Valley. There they regrouped and gathered their strength, until the day they burst forth and overran the Demon Palace. In the final, fateful battle, they were forced to sacrifice themselves to slay the Great *** Nelson, scattering their souls across the land of Sordor. With the Gods gone, a new world is rising up. Who will take the throne to lead their people into a second golden age…? More Information here:http://forum.hob.igg.com/index.php |
