SL45i -> Nokia 6100 -> SL45i

Sorry for long absence.
But last two month I just thought it's time to let the SL45i a SL45i and choose a new mobile phone. A Nokia 6100? Should be a good choice. To make it short...

Bad signal strength paired with bad sound quality - double minus

So I decided to use my SL45 furthermore. May the farce with it

The only thing that was really better on Nokia was the keypad and the internal loudspeaker for hands-free-mode (but we know S45i also got this feature... maybe SL45i also?)

You're talking with my words... I had this phone in mind, too, because of it's handsfree mode and the clear keyboard and small size. But then I heard about bad speech quality, it doesn't even has real-sounds (wave, mmf, vmo, mp3 - everything except polyphonic midi bullsh**). So I'm still waiting for great successor of SL45i.

well Nokia 6230i
Real Sound - Good Display - MP3 Player - FM Radio - Long SMS - MMS/EMS - GPRS - Bluetooth - USB Support
(I don't need the half of this)

But now the point - the battery don't last long (I heared) and annother fat fat minus for the integrated camera... okay 1,3 MP but the only phone I would use as "camera" is the SE K750i not more not less and now annother point. If you choose a Nokia then it's over with patching... even it's over with a simple "Firmware upgrade@home" (with flash stations surly no problem - but I don't have money for such a thing)

@rc-flitzer
Hey we like the same style. That was also the point I choose the phone
- size
- styling
- good keypad (really much much much better then x35, x45 and SL4x)
- loudspeaker

I bought it for 50€, sold it for 70€ for the remaining 20€ I bought a new cover for my SL (original Siemens) and it looks better than ever now

But come to the end:
We must thank all the patcher who developed patches for this phone. I said it once a time and I say it again. It's the little patches that makes our phone so lovely. Just a little selection of the patches here

- Read SMS/Missed Calls/Events with locked keys
- Shortcut on left Softkey
- The press only # to unlock keys - Patch
- etc. add here what you want (I just named the "essential" patches I missed on the Nokia)
