AT&Fx = restore factory defaults. x= number from 1 to n , depends on modem, with predefined factory values.
After AT&Fx (x = 0 ussually) many modems , most modems do not do thatl, will report connection speed equeal to terminal connection speed. Terminal speed is the speed between pc and modem.
So do not expect much from 56k modem. If you see message "Connect 115200" then check modem settings.
