Member: 9700 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 62 | what is the most stupid repair that you have made? One time I repaired one Siemens or Samsung (I dont remember), the problem was the speaker... bad sound. I repaired it extracting the sticker of the display area... the sticker was covering display and speaker other stupid repairing was a phone that says "insert sim" when the custommer switch it on. The problem was very very hard: there was no sim card inside. this custommer dont know about gsm phones, and he was found this phone in the street very goooood repairings... b.r. |

He is working too in GSM repairing , one day he was refloweing a board of 3310 ( No Network ) , He reflows all the upper half of the PCB. A worker with hime was standing watching hime , then he told the boy after to clean the board. My freind tells , I was goeing to go uncosiouss cause the stuppid boy caryes the board while it was still melted , truns it to right angle with the table , and gently Tic Tic Tic on the table !!, then he returnes the board " Clean " without any component at all over its upper half |

Member: 6772 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 17 | Same as Porter.... I had spent two days with 3210 charging problem... My 6210 charged well form (switching) power supply.. Changed all IC's in the phone gave no result.... The problem was charger.... But the most "great" repair was for my reletive's ME45... Phone didn't turn on... I had changed: CPU,DIALOG,RAM,both Flashes... Still the same.. phone flash is ok.. but it refuses to turn on.... After I've drunk a lot of beer and was looking at the phone wirh stupid look... I though that the only things that I havn't changed in this phone were buttons... And the "Volume down" button was faulty... But it was faulty interesting way. Only when I install board or I press the spring contact with my tester's probe the button was faulty... WBR b0ba |

Member: 104528 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 3 | This i thought was funny.....A few years back...when software was vary scarce..we used to change the actaul eeprom chips on phones like Er 388 and 2110 cte, anyway a buddy of mine was busy changing an eeprom ic on a 388...he was sitting at his bench with only a short pants on,and while lifting the Eeprom using a tweeser, the ic fell and he closed his legs to grab the chip since his hands were holding the tools. He caught the ic between his thighs and today he has a permanent imprint of a 8 legged eeprom burnt on his thighs.....BRANDED AN IEMI CHANGER ....LOL!!!!!
