PDS Repair failed, Invalid SWR , Next Step ? - GSM-Forum

Phone Model : V551 Cingular
Phone Status , can be flash , but don't power on , just keyboard light.

Here's PK2 4.1 log:
Connecting to phone ...
Connected to: 'Motorola Flash'
Connected OK
Bootloader version: 07E0
Sending loader to phone ...
Loader sent OK.
Repair PDS ...
ERROR: Invalid SW
ERROR: Repair failed

try connecting test point and then try repair pds

With TestPoints here's what I get.
In fact , Phone accept Flash Mode when I press {* # + PWRON}

Connecting to phone ...
Connected to: 'Motorola Flash'
Connected OK
Bootloader version: 0000
Sending loader to phone ...
Loader sent OK.
Repair PDS ...
ERROR: Invalid SW
ERROR: Repair failed

I have already writen BootLoader 07D0 using FlashBackup , Downloaded from

Still Same.

I think you have to flash bootloader 7B0 and special flash...

My phone is really in big trouble , where Can I get 07B0 and special flash , there's nothing on support site.

You must flash your phone with ff files from support area also

In support area , I found only this

Already flashed with the above FullFlash , but phone still Dead.

I got almost same case here, but it's e398, it was upgraded to ROKR before,
I ussually repair this phone using smart clip, but i this time i try to use USB Smart instead.

First I repair PDS, but i show:
Connecting to phone ...
Connected to: 'Motorola Flash'
Connected OK
Bootloader version: 07E0
Sending loader to phone ...
Loader sent OK.
Repair PDS ...
ERROR: Invalid SW
ERROR: Repair failed

then i flash boot loader, then repair PDS again it show:

Connecting to phone ...
Connected to: 'Motorola Flash'
Connected OK
Bootloader version: 07D0
Sending loader to phone ...
ERROR: Receiving READY
ERROR: Send loader failed (2)

after this msg, the screen began to fade to black....

It seem that PDS Repair function in USB Smart not Work , I'll need to buy a Smart Clip for PDS repair.
