phone must be on, and cable must be full pushed in the phone connector (sometimes we have to remove phone cover) to help cable to be full insterted in phone connector

i think the cable is not good. I saw same kinda problem with moto 119 cable , you should use as cable shematic. Cable Moto 119 and Moto V115 is not same
