help unlocking blackberry 9000 ::: ANSWERED ::: - GSM-Forum

hi, im puzzled by a 9000 bold. it read ok

now,when i got to the right sim card menu it reads as all 5 locks disabled, so if that means it was already unlocked???(wasted credits, but thats my fault)

but when i put an 02, orange or vodafone card in, i get the logos, 4 out of 5 on the signal bar but still cannot make or receive calls.
if the phone has been blocked why does it still show the logos/signal strength?
any help anyone, thanks.

phone accept wrong cards that mean already unlocked,but no signal receive and send call,so its a software problem,try to flash it using free software,must work,already i had faced this problem solved by flashing to another location

i did not flash it, it came to me like this, or are you telling me that i need to flash it to another country first? if so could anyone guide me on flashing this 9000 bold, which progams do i need?

ok, took a couple of days, first i needed to talk to the bb's owner.
flashed it, then flashed it again to '02' uk
needed to take some brave pills before i deliberatly wiped a bb.
unnerving looking at a white screen with 507 on it.but hey if you dont jump in then you will never learn to swim.
now loaded back up with os 4.60, but back at same problem.
3 different sim cards,all operator logo's showing. 4 out of 5 signal strength. but still cannot make or receive calls.
any help or advice would be great, but please dont BOLDLY announce via changing my thread question , from a question to ANSWERED before i have resolved this phones problem. i dont mean to be dis respectfull to peoples good intentions but if people think its ANSWERED then will they add their own thoughts, knowledge etc?

Most probably in that case is that phone is blacklisted, if you cant get it to work, then that's the only problem left. As far as i could understand, it accepts any simcard and receives signal, you just can't make or receive calls. Only thing left is that is blacklisted, maybe you should ask owner about this. Luck!

Answered mean : users or supporters or managers of polar team answered u, and mean u are under trying to fix ur problem, when problem fixed, ANSWERED will be changed to SOLVED, if not solved, thread will stay ANSWERED

chek it policy on ur mobile
go to password menu and on the bottom chek that u can see it policy enable in it or not
if enable remove it and your problem will be solve
