How to rebuild KP501 IMEI?:::ANSWERED:::

Hi all

Just had a KP501 in, the IMEI is all 0's & 1's

When I try to rebuild back to original, I seem to get an extra digit

Enter 352821035207961 and get 3528210352079681

I've tried entering first 14 or all 15 result is the same, where does that 8 com from?

TIA

Cale

Still shows "No Network" on display, maybe another problem?

Flashed it, rebuilt it and still "No Network" and still has that extra 8 in the IMEI number, when I'm entering the number in PB2 Rebuild, how many digits should I use? 14 0r 15? Any other tips greatly appreciated. oh BTW, it can't receive texts, normally a barred phone here can.

Hi, tried again this morning, entered 35282103520796 (14 digits)
*#06# gives 35282103520796110 (17 digits)
reconnect to PB2 it shows 352821035207961 (15 digits)

Still "No Network" I tried a manual network select but it times out before finding any network.
Could it be that it had a corrupt IMEI & a hardware problem?

no network problem, could be an eeprom inconsistency, write an eeprom file from a working phone after that perform an eeprom repair to restore the original imei and post results.. maibe u solve the imei problem too.
hope it works
