i9100 [ANSWERED]


Hi,
trying to unlock samsung i9100 with Polar 3.23

It says:

Uploading data to SCARD

then it reboots phone to recovery mode but there is no GB_UPDATE

I tried 5 or 6 times, checked the card, etc. but it doesn't write the file.

any ideas? or can u link the file so i can write it manually to SD card?

Yes, tried another card.

I never seen the software try to write to SDcard before for i9100, I assume it was new with v3.23.
I just tried it again but no good.

Anyone link me the .ZIP for this phone? So I can write it to the SD card myself

okay,
I downloaded v3.24 but get the same result

Customer keeps ringing me so I have had to order code from IMEI server.

However, maybe it needs looking into?

same here .the phone is on 4.1.2. it did the same thing for me said it was uploading to micro sd,but didnt .the micro sd is fine and tested.please sort asap...many thanks

the same thing hapened with me
android 4.1.2 , the unit dosnt recognize the sd card .

Any solution

OK, think I know the problem.

4.1.2 reads phone memory as a memory card.
When Polar writes to SD card it actually writes it to phone memory.

So, go to options / File Manager and copy the "GBupdate.zip" from "sdcard0" to "extSdcard". The file is now there when in recovery mode you select "apply update from ext storage".

I also find it easier to select "SuperUser" app, go to options and permisions. select Always allow. That way Polar can access what it needs without you having to click "allow" on phone screen. You can reverse this later.
