G.O.T locks up on me when unlocking certain models.

Ever since I installed version 45, I am having problems using the easy skip testpoint procedure on certain phones.

Basically everything goes well until the point when it sets blank mode, then G.O.T locks up on me and I can't do anything but launch another copy.

At this point the phone is stuck in blank mode and I can't get it out unless I use my smartclip.

This has happened to me with an L6, a v190 and just now with a V557.

Originally I thought it may have something to do with my PC, so today I restarted my PC and took a v360 of my own and unlocked it using the Easy Skip procedure and all went fine.

Then I tried the V557 and I got the same problem I described above.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Did G.O.T change anything with this version that is making it not work well with windows 2000?

I hope G.O.T support team can help me figure this problem out.

I'm really starting to think that there is a problem with version 45.

Here is a log from an easy skip Tp attempt on an L7:

Establish connection to handset
FLASH Interface established ok
Read handset bootcore version
Bootcore version on handset: 0A20
Sending RAMDLD to handset
RAMDLD started ok in handset
Read flash backup from handset
Save flash backup
Finded fake sign address: 1000499C
Power down handset
Establish connection to handset
FLASH Interface established ok
Read handset bootcore version
Bootcore version on handset: 0A20
Sending RAMDLD to handset
RAMDLD started ok in handset
Set handset to blank mode
Power down handset
Set Blank Mode completed ok
Establish connection to handset
FLASH Interface established ok
Read handset bootcore version
Bootcore version on handset: 0A20
BLANK MODE or TESTPOINT required for this model and bootcore

And the hits just keep on coming.

I finally got the L7 to work, after some flashing and PDS repairing.

So at this point, I've pretty much given up on using the easy skip TP with this version of G.O.T

Now I have a Razr V3 with bootloader 08.29 to unlock so I decide to use the Testpoint method......

Guess what?

It just hangs after reading the bootcore version and the program freezes.

At this point, I'm thinking it MUST be my system......

So I launch another instance of G.O.T and try doing a Testpoint unlock on a V3r with bootloader r3443_u2

But this phone unlocks just fine.

What is up with v0045 of G.O.T??

I find it hard to believe that my computer is picking and choosing which phone it wants to work with.

Any help will be appreciated.

Oh yeah here is the log of my V3r unlock which was successful. The RED text is where G.O.T froze on me while atttempting to unlock the V3 with Bootloader 08.29:

Establish connection to handset
FLASH Interface established ok
Read handset bootcore version
Bootcore version on handset: 0300
Sending RAMDLD to handset
RAMDLD started ok in handset
Read Flash chip type and ID
Flash chip ID detected: 0x0020880E
Direct unlock method selected
Started unlocking sequence
Power down handset
Unlocking sequence completed ok

@LetsGoCellular:

1. We will investigate what exactly happens in v0045 on your reported models.

2. Regarding your last post, is totaly unusefull, that because V3 (the one with BL 0829) is LTE based platform and V3r is LTE2 based platform. Totally differenet phones! Is same difference like DCT3 and DCT4 on Nokia phones. Even if V3 looks almost same like V3r!

Based on your last post, I decided to try and use the easy skip TP procedure on the V3 (the one with BL 0829)...... The LTE based one.

After setting the phone to blank mode, G.O.T tried to send ramldr to phone and G.O.T locked up on me once again.

Now the phone is stuck in blank mode

I was having the same problems, that's because I had installed Motorola Drivers 2.6.2 (last release), when phone was in "Modem Mode" GOT doesn't recognice phone and shows "NOT CONNECTED" I had to switch it manually to P2K MODE to be recogniced by GOT, and the program stucks in certains operations.

I go back to 2.2.0.0 release of Moto drivers and now everything is working as usual. I think that GOT stuks problems are a driver-related issue.

@all with the same problem, please post results with this solution.

My drivers are the 2.2.0.0 release.

But, I reinstalled my drivers after your post just to make sure they weren't somehow updated and I can report that I am still having the same problem.

So it does not appear to be the solution.

If I'm not mistaken; other then a v360, I don't think I successfully unlocked a phone using the Easy Skip TP method with version 45.

Although the TestPoint method has been working fine.....

So far.

Any information on this problem?

I'd like to start using the software again, considering I paid for it.
