i have used the tp bellow without the 2 resistors.

i have also connected only RX , TX , and GND

1000% with SMTI BOX

brther u must have the smti box to do it

1.simple cable with no resistence
2.conect to phone rx, tx,gnd
3.power on the phone, then conect cable to box (baterry full)
4.detect phone, read code
5.enter manualy the net code

Ground is ground , same basic for all electric & electronic devices , & Gnd on pinout not mean to be only there as shown
on shem . but some people sometimes try to solder in diffrent zone because soldering deficult a little & that's normal if gnd related with big area of board it need more temperature , try to scratch a little gnd zone then solder .
I think that's ennough as lesson about GND , So try to be arround ;)

The easy way out, if u have extra cable from 501c 0r 501x, i mean the rj45,
cut off one end and and follow the schematic properly, all will be ok. tested it and worked 10000% OK

i tried this and i have this probleme when i puch "detect phone" it's gave me the info

when i try to make read code it says remove battery and when i do that it gives me that error

POWER ON PHONE ...Fail!

- ERROR: READING PHONE DATA!

i tried this many time

i think that doing unlock whitout the two resistors cause this kind of problem

Didn't you think to use TP adpater ? Life will be much more simpler..... soldering it's not a problem if you need to make 4-5 pcs (but in fact not all will be happy that you will solder to his phone) but if you need to make 100 pcs such TP are more comfortable - like here attached photo:

the phone must be on, and you do unlock the soft say remove battery, remove it
you must power on the phone when the soft say "powering on" , because it can't power on mobile only using rx tx and gnd, you must do it manualy

so when box ask remove battery and power on phone i need just conect powered phone 2 box? can somebody confirm?

when use tp whithout resistors i have keypad lights when i connect powered on phone. when i use tp whis resistors (200om) keypad dont lights. but in both cases i cant make power on phone connected 2 box. is any solution how 2 make it power on when box ask 2 power on this crap?

Manually power on phone when ask. Just press power and you will see the booted by software.

after enter code hardware failed plz help me

i CANT power on phone during its conected 2 smti box. only if i use resistors 1k but in this case its not detects by smti!

still never been able to connect this phone to box.

dissasemble phone, connect tp
POWER ON THE PHONE
connect to box
BATTERY MUST BE FULL
press detect phone
press read code
when software displays "remove battery an the put it back", DO THAT, without removing tp cable from phone or from box
when displays "power on the phone", PRESS SHORTLY POWER ON
software will finish the job and displays you unlock code
disconnect phone from box and tp from phone
reassemble phone
enter code manualy
your code looks like this (*********-**)
enter code without the last two digits (for this model)
that's it
PHONE UNLOCK

ps:
if software displays errors like : error 01 or try one more
reset you computer
smti software unstable on computers lower then pentium 4
