Sure, dealing with local distributor is much more convenient , this is why companies work hard to have as much distributors in different regions.

Not about sales mainly but about services.

just a comment I am sure 100% that Jovy is not Chinese company

You right my dear friend, i confirm it, is totally made in USA
anyway 60 - 75% of world wide is Made in China, is not this the big problem problem, anyway is not a good pubblicity to be distribuited / saled for it, the problem is the warranty and quality of service that for us personally is not good.

The point is lost here. The support is in China, Hong Kong, and they cannot answer some of my questions because of the lack of understanding them.
They are responsive via Skype, but not always helpful. And talking about Jovy is not off topic. That is what this thread is about. I have figured out most of the questions myself just as I did on the RE7500. The RE8500 is a good machine and has lots of potential but not recommended for the un experienced infrared reflower.

Well I am confused too.
I am planning to buy jovy machine 8500 because the price is not to much expensive from 7500.
But after reading this topic I dont know if it a good choice the 8500 or is better to buy 7500
My work is 80% mobile phones and 20% laptop, game console etc.
Finally I thing that jovy have to upgrade the machine with automatic vacuum stencil like ersa.

For small PCBs jovy RE7500 is ok.
However, if you do consoles, laptops and other larger pcbs a bigger preheater is a must.
RE-8500 much better suited. You can use it for the larger PCB.
But also for the small ones.
RE-7500 more suited for small PCB only.

I would allways go for RE-8500 unless you only do cellphones and nothing else maybe.
But who knows, you might start doing that later?

I got mine about 7 months ago from here
At only $2,000.00 by advancedreworks.com
I was lucky they give a decent support because the user manual doesn't explain anything about what and what not to look for when doing a process.
I was banging my head on a desk with no idea and was all my fault cause they had recommended me I get it with the omega thermocouple and dont use the stock ones that are not too accurate. After I started using it with the omega thermocouple I saw a big difference. I can see solder balls melt within 5c of what should be.
