No, you have to get an external analyzer to do that. You should have a spare K type TC and you can set the 2 TC's next to each other to see if they read the same. I have very few issues with TC's other than the wires breaking, then they do not read at all. I use Omega for all my TC's. Very reliable. Don't buy TC's from an unknown maker.

Omega TC's received with new 8500

Hi Dan

I just received my new RE-8500 last week and the two supplied TC's are mold-branded as Omega and Patented USA. I used to work in industrial electronics distribution back in the 90's and I've known about Omega since then, I'm curious - since this machine comes from China, can I actually trust that these TC's marked Omega are actually Omega? Upon visual inspection with a 10x magnifying glass, the quality looks very good. I know China can make very good products when directed to do so. I'm an eternal skeptic, so I'm curious if you received two Omega branded TC's with your 8500 and if you have and are still using them (assuming the wires haven't broken yet).

I never used the stock TC's because I needed ones with different gauge for my jigs. All mine are purchased directly from Omega. The stock T/C's are also from Omega and work just as well for normal usage

Hi Dan,
I think no need for your worry about the 2 TC's supplied by the machine, i already have used a lot of TC's from omega directly and compared them with those with the machine, i found that they are, original pair and give same performance with those supplied form omega itself.
