Downgrading from A39

Hi all,

I'm having a bit of trouble downgrading my friends GD87 from a A39 firmware to a A22, my phone was A22 to start with, so I had no trouble unlocking the phone, but as said my friend's phone is A39, so I need to downgrade to A22, thing is every time I do this and power the phone on, the screen just flickers in black tones, so I have to go back to A39 to get it to work again. The phone is on vodaphone network, and has the newer (ugly) icons, & redborders. Does anyone have any ideas for me to chew on?

Thanks for any help.

U can't power on A39 GD87 with A22 firmware..

SOLUTION TO UNLOCK YOUR PHONE.

DOWNGRADE YOUR PHONE TO A22 (Phone will blink only)
THAN READ UNLOCK CODES or UNLOCK IT.

than AGAIN UPGRADE YOUR PHONE TO A39 than enter unlock codes.

Best Regards,
Wahab

Yes you can... I have downgraded many GAD87A39 phones to version 22... in fact, latest one this morning... readed codes with cracked soft and that's is... reset it with CB2000 and take money from the customer...

Yes, but here before taking money from customer, I have to upgrade to a39 again... because when customer use 64K sim the phone will show invalid sim (and customer will complain and take back money ), If upgraded to a39 phone will accept 64K sim gladly.

For me there is no need to upgrade to A39 again... it 's all about the A22 flash and resetting it with CB2000...

And that flash is here on the forum, check posts in Panasonic section...
