"GD55 SIM MEP Lock Failed" Solution - GSM-Forum

i have a GD55 IMEI: ............................... . I got an unlock code & when i input it in phone with or without a simcard **00053*71839436# it says "DONE". when i press OK it then says "SIM MEP Lock Failed" and phone is still locked and says Insert Sim.

anybody with a solution and is the code correct?

I think you have wrong unlock code, ask the person you got the code from, you did pay for the code did'nt you !!!!

1. i am very greatfull to have got the code from this m8.

2. i am not disputting that his code is correct or wrong but am
merely asking just in case i wrote it down wrongly or else.
3. I did ask the person in PM as his suggestion but still waiting for
the response.

"you did pay for the code did'nt you !!!"
3. i did not pay for the code but was kindly given the code.

so what is the way forward?

mate just flash the thing with russian flash and get on with other stuff.. less than 8 mins and it will be over

use gd 55 multiport downloader, 100 % work !@!

does multiport downloader allow you to read flash from a gd55?

same problem, I dont know if the code calc is correct or if there is another way to enter code, As when i put code in it says done but then says sim mep lock failed and insert sim same as you.
Did you get yours unlocked or did you flash it?

You need to try the **00012* or 00032* or **00023* codes. Put your imei no in the request phone code section and some kind person will give u the codes.

it just dont seem to want to work with either 12,32 or 53 as the prefix.
Any other ideas.

use **00032*
and then **00012*
all will be ok trust me done around a hundred this way always unlock for me

just make sure to turn phone off after second code then back on

as i have been given the same code by 3 people but then someone posted the nck code as different, I have had to flash the phone now as it said blocked after a few attempts at the **00012* but i still want to know where i went wrong.

see my post at gd 55 display problem and use that software, flash it and you will solve your problem

and dont forget to charge you batt full

i think i can change new code and send you for calc. original code [sure you cant do it] may be it in game funny
bcs not only you have sw it [i think it and sure you can flashing again for come back to original code.....]
