Hey boyz n girlz(???)

two questions plz.

first, there's an exemination mark between the menu and names on the idle screen and i cant get rid of it! what does it say and why is it there? i get this weird tone when i turn it on and then it just sits there all day long... i hate it... plz make it go away... someone? anyone?

second, i cant get the wap working on my mobile.
i need gprs and not csd.
on the user manual it says that under the "phone options" "network" right after "csd settings" there should be "GPRS settings" and "GPRS info". now, here is the tricky part: they does not exist on my mobile!!! i dont have the gprs parts!

the handset is from virgin mobile UK.

can anyone knows what to do?

thats the only way i can get rid of the horrible poly rings that came with it... you would expect bit more from Virgin would you...
