Question panasonic GD87 frontal display problem


hi all,have a big trouble here...i have changed that "complete plastic body" of my phone(sorry my bad english,hope you all understand what i mean ),and now the frontal display(that little display which you see when the phone is closed) is not working ! I have not touched absolutely nothing (100% sure) except those plastic parts,and have no idea what's wrong.please,help me! a BIG thanx in advance

change the patchcord beetwen display and pcb

NO NO NO its simple.....it sounds like you havent put the little magnet in the new case, check your old case and you should find it in the inside of the keypad housing section. The front display will not work with out it and you will also find that the main screen remains lit even when closed. This magnet is a switch which diverts power from one screen to another when either open or closed ie. when open power goes to the main screen and when shut it diverts the power to the small lcd screen. You need this magnet for the phone to work properly, with out it your battery will discharge very fast as power is costantly being feed to the main screen.
