Ive had problems with every version above v0.3.0 always byte 08 but not with v0.3.0.
any sugesstions as why gnd is good with that version but not v0.3.1, v0.3.2 and v0.3.3 ??? main problems with 3110c and 6280. They work fine with 6300 and 5300

I think is cable problem , me 2 have same problems , but after i change cable have no prob , i use a handsfree wire original nokia , i chose red one for data , shorten gsn , and clk , all phones working good , first try unlock .

Data and clk seem ok its only gnd according to byte 08 but what puzzles me is its both cables but only with 6280 and 3110 not other fones. It works ok with lower versions of bb5box so why is cable problem only with v3.1 v3.2 and v3.3 but not with v3.0

i make shorter cable CLK and DATA cable,
also change cable from original Handsfree,

very short make me get harder when unlocking, but successfully unlocked E62 Cingular today with version 3.1

Yes I shortened gnd using thicker wire and shortened usb cable from pc to box and unlocked 3110c successfully but I still dont understand why the problem only occurs in versions after v0.3.0

mesure first your volatge in your bb5box if it is lower than the voltage require.if it is lower then use acp-12.but if the voltage is sufficient for the required supply then don't use acp-12.

I am now on my third cable and all working fine at the moment, so it probably is a faulty cable.

Don't drive yourself mad like I did and get yourself new cables.

I totally agree with you. I think about 90% of failures is due to cables faulty or breaking down. I think its a MUST to have a few sets that you know are working ie if you have one that is working then buy another, then if you have 2 working sets you can then check if you fail with other set. (cheaper than 2 boxes )
