got a seta chip here. does not wanna be unlocked. keeps saying failed. have tried for over 30 mins.

must be some software error

possibly 2 version of ETA chip that we dont know about ?, 1 unlocked straight away, 1 not working at all tried many time.

Assuming your testpoint is ok, when you failed unlocking SECxxxxxxETA based 6280, try selecting SPANSION instead of the SECxxxxxETA. Use the latest version and ensure you backup the phone in case something might go wrong. I tried this method 3 times already and it never failed me...try it ansd post result...

Hmmm
By The Looks Of It, It Looks Like That Lot Of People R Having Problems With This Chipset But I Personaly Had Problem On Two Of Them, One Of Them I Unlocked After Several Tries And The Other One I Gave Up
But After That I Have Done Few Of Them Without Any Problem And I Am Not Even Using Any Microscope, I Am Using A Magnifying Glass With A Light
I Would Agree With Raskal's Earlier Post That It S Bad Tp Or That Can B Testpoint Cable

hi
people who r having problems with ETA chips please flash them V6.10 (RM78 DP V343.0 MCUSW06.10.EXE)
TESTED BY ME
i had 2 with the same chipset(ETA)
one was v3.81 and the other one was 6.10
6.10 was unlocked in first try but 3.81 failed
tried about 1 hour but no joy then upgraded it to 6.43. no joy
then downgraded to 6.10, unlocked in first try
